Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Valrune (“Valrune,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides data engineering, analytics, and marketing operations services, including managing advertising accounts and data pipelines on behalf of clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit https://valrune.com (the “Site”), contact us, or when we provide services to a client whose advertising or data platforms we access on their behalf.
By using the Site or engaging Valrune's services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit the contact form on the Site, we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, email address, company name, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including IP address, browser and device type, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, and timestamps, using cookies and similar technologies described below.
Client account data (service delivery). When Valrune is engaged to manage a client's advertising accounts (for example, Google Ads or Meta Ads) or to build data pipelines into a client's data warehouse, we access advertising, analytics, and business data made available to us through that client's accounts and API/platform permissions. This data is governed by the applicable client agreement and by the terms of the third-party platform (Google, Meta, etc.), and is used solely to perform the contracted services. See “Client advertising and data services” below.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to operate the Site and understand how it is used. These include:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — measures site traffic and usage patterns.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Business Tools) — measures the effectiveness of advertising and helps us understand actions people take on the Site.
- Google Tag Manager — the tag management system used to load the above tools.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how parts of the Site function. Where required by law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the Site.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To understand how visitors use the Site and to measure the performance of our own marketing.
- To perform the advertising, analytics, and data engineering services a client has engaged us to provide.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use information collected through the Site for purposes unrelated to those described above.
Third-party services
We use the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the Site and deliver our services. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and terms:
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Cloud/BigQuery, Ads) — site analytics, hosting infrastructure, and, for clients, advertising account management and data warehousing.
- Meta (Pixel, Business Tools, Marketing API) — site conversion measurement and, for clients, advertising account management and reporting.
- Resend — delivers email notifications generated by the contact form.
- Firebase Hosting (Google Cloud) — hosts the Site.
Client advertising and data services
As part of our marketing operations and data engineering services, Valrune may be granted access to a client's advertising accounts (such as Google Ads or Meta Ads), tag management containers, analytics properties, or data warehouse (such as BigQuery), either directly or through a service account or API connection. We access and process this data only:
- to perform the services described in our agreement with that client;
- using the minimum access necessary for that work; and
- in accordance with the applicable platform's developer and business tool terms (including Google's and Meta's platform policies).
We do not use a client's advertising or platform data for any purpose outside that engagement, and we do not sell or share that data with unrelated third parties. Automated processes we operate on a client's behalf (for example, scheduled reporting or campaign management jobs) run under credentials scoped to that client's own accounts.
Data retention
We retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for our business records, unless a longer period is required by law. Client account and platform data is retained according to the terms of the applicable client agreement and deleted or returned upon request or at the end of the engagement, subject to standard backup cycles.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including credential management through Google Cloud Secret Manager and service-account-scoped access rather than shared passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, reach out through our contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. For data connected through Meta Business Tools specifically, see our Data Deletion Instructions.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International visitors
Valrune is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
